Classes are FREE to participants and are selected for occupations where there is an immediate need for employees.
As the population of senior citizens in the United States increases dramatically, so does the need for Certified Nursing Assistants and Geriatric Nursing Assistants. This class is designed for the individual who wants to enter a thriving profession. By obtaining the CNA or GNA certificate, participants will be qualified to work in a long-term care facility or in the home to aid the elderly in a higher quality of life with dignity and purpose.
A student must pass the written and clinical component of an exam.
Students:
Participants who complete the course will receive a Maryland certified nurse training program certificate.
Students who complete this program are required to maintain employment in a facility for at least four months after receiving their license.
The CNA and GNA course is taught in collaboration with Heritage Care Inc.

Participants who complete the class receive a 10-Hour General Industry Safety & Health training certification that never expires.

Guest speakers from industry leaders, such as Aloft Hotels, Marriot Hotels, and exhibition experts. Learning how to use association software systems and budget management are a part of this course.
Event and Meeting Planners are detail oriented and provide personalized attention for clients with special events held at a full-service hotel.
Students who complete the six-week course receive certification that they are trained to manage meetings and special events.
