Meet Deborah Martinez, 2022 Nonprofit Leader Of The Year Award Nominee

Deborah Martinez is a nonprofit/association executive with years of experience leading local, national and international organizations.

For the last three years, she has been CEO of Mission of Love Charities, Inc., located in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Under Ms. Martinez’ leadership the revenues of the organization have increased from about $600,000/year to about $2.1 million/year. This has been achieved through rigorous financial management, increased credibility and fiscal responsibility, and aggressive fundraising efforts. Mission of Love Charities provides basic needs of food, financial assistance for housing and job training to thousands of homeless and low-income individuals and families every year.

Ms. Martinez has also held the top executive position at the International Ultraviolet Association, the Society of Hispanic Engineers, the Society of American Military Engineers, and the Society of Geriatric Cardiology.

A native of Washington, D.C., she graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has been honored with several national and professional accolades.
