The University of Maryland Prevention Research Center is looking for Black and Latino a/x LGBTQ+ individuals to participate in a paid research study. The first step is to fill out a 5-10 minute survey to see if the participant is eligible. If eligible, the person will be contacted by a member of the University of Maryland research team to schedule a focus group. The focus group will help promote the health and wellness of the LGBTQ+ community in Maryland.
The requirements for this research project are:
Focus groups last approximately 90 minutes and will be recorded on audio. The topics discussed are designed to help understand the LGBTQ+ community, health and service experiences. Questions about tobacco use and cessation will be asked, among other inquiries. Focus groups will be 5-6 people in each group.
Payment for focus group participants will be $60 gift card for participation. Interested individuals may email Dr. Jessica Fish at jfish@umd.edu.
