Continuing our efforts to provide training and workforce development for our community, Mission of Love Charities is currently hosting a six-week Event and Meeting Planning Bootcamp led by Ingrid Raboteau. This dynamic biweekly class meets at 6PM every Tuesday and Thursday until March 3rd. At every class, students are joined by industry experts who provide in-depth knowledge and tools for starting a career as an Event and Meeting planner.
Recently, we welcomed Director of Sales for Marriott’s Aloft Providence Downtown, Damaris Messina, MBA as a special guest speaker. In her presentation, Ms. Messina provided an overview on global sales and in-depth information on the what, why, and how of the hospitality industry. As a senior sales leader at one of the most iconic brands in hospitality with the most powerful portfolio in the industry–30 brands and 7,000+ properties across 131 countries and territories—Ms. Messina’s expert advice truly provided students with more ways to connect and expand their hospitality experience.
