As inflation increases, we see seniors in our community, unfortunately torn between buying a dozen eggs or purchasing their much-needed prescriptions. According to Feeding America, in 2020, 5.2 million seniors aged 60+ face hunger. That’s 1 in 15 seniors or 6.8% of all seniors.

The Maryland Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is a new program designed and created to provide funding for water and wastewater cost for low-income families. LIHWAP was designed to provide assistance for Maryland families. These families must be 30 days or more behind on their drinking water and wastewater bills.
